Questions people ask
What exactly do I get for $20?
A one-year membership. Member shops around Cookeville each set an offer — a dollar amount off, a percentage off, or something free — and you can redeem the current offer at every one of them, all year. There is no per-visit fee and nothing else to buy.
How do I use it at the counter?
Open the free StarCard app, pick the shop you're standing in, and show the redemption screen to whoever is ringing you up. There's no plastic card to carry and nothing to print.
Where does my $20 actually go?
If you bought through a team, club, or school fundraiser, most of it goes straight to that group. The rest pays for running the program — the app, payments, and signing up new shops. Member shops pay us nothing per redemption.
When does my year start, and what if it's a gift?
A card you buy for yourself starts the day you buy it. A gift starts the day the recipient redeems the code, not the day you paid — and if they're already a member, redeeming adds 12 months to what they have instead of overwriting it.
What if I change my mind?
Email us within 30 days and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. After that the card runs to the end of its year and simply stops — it never auto-renews and we never store a card on file for one.
